Vroolÿk Paaschfeest

Dublin Core

Title

Vroolÿk Paaschfeest

Description

The front of the post card features a color-added photograph of a heterosexual couple. In the upper right hand side of the card there is Dutch writing that reads "Vroolÿk Paaschfeest", which translates to "Happy Ester". The letters of the text are in gold, and can be felt when running your fingers over them.

The man in the photograph is standing on the left, and the woman is on the right, sitting on what appears to be a small wall. The two are in a garden area and there are plants with beautiful pink and white flowers on either side of the woman. The man is standing directly behind the woman. He is leaning down and looking intently at her. The man is also holding a large purple egg in his right hand. The woman is looking off into the distance and holding a wicker basket in her right hand that contains more Easter eggs. She also has short brunette hair and is wearing a checkered dress that contains shades of red, yellow, purple, and white. The man has dark hair as well, and is wearing a suit and tie that has not been colorized like the woman's dress. There is also a large fold mark on the upper half of the card.

On the back of the card the user has chosen to write their message in script and black ink. The post card itself, and the user of the post card, are both from outside of the United States, presumably the Netherlands based on the postmark, the stamp, and the language that has been used throughout the post card.
