A Representative Collection of Shells Found on Florida Beaches

Dublin Core

Title

A Representative Collection of Shells Found on Florida Beaches

Description

The front of the post card features a photograph on an array of different seashells that can be found on the shores of various Florida beaches. The background of the photograph is a bright red surface. The shells have been organized so that there are seven shells in each row and three in each column. Above each individual shell, the name of the specific type of shell it is has been typed in white letters, contrasting with the red background. Each shell presented ranges in shape and color. However, their sizes do not range much; they are all considerably small. Each shell has two shadows, suggesting that the photographer used two light sources on either side of the shells when taking the photograph.

The text on the back of the post card has been printed in a brown ink and in various font types. There are also very subtle signs of wear on the far corners of the card.
