Dublin Core

Title

Gate Entrance to Gardens of Royal Governor's Palace, Williamsburg, Va.

Subject

Description

The illustration depicts the Royal Governor's Palace in Williamsburg, Virginia, shown at a distance with an entrance gate in the foreground. The Governor's Palace appears to be beige in color and has a brown roof. It also has a gold and white structure extending from the very top of the roof, two chimneys, nine windows on the front of the house, an orange front door, and red flowers that sit on either side of the front door. The gate that is framing the Governor's Palace appears to be iron and possesses a number of ornate designs. On either side of the iron gates there are two red brick pillars that are attached to additional brick walls that continue lining the exterior grounds of the Governor's Palace. The garden is also visible when looking through the entry gates. The garden possesses several trees, hedges, and a large green lawn that is divided by a long paved driveway that leads up to the house.
