Oversea Highway to Key West

Dublin Core

Title

Oversea Highway to Key West

Subject

Description

The color illustration post card is predominantly ocean with a bridge running through the center, curving in the back left corner, and the continuing on the back of the postcard. The beginning of the bridge can be seen in the bottom right with sand and a wall signifying the land and there is also a silver or white car beginning its journey on the bridge. The bridge has numerous arches to allow boats to travel under it. It ends on a small strip of land with dirt at the initial entrance and then green land after. There appear to be a few trees on the land strip. Eventually it curves to the right leading to the second part of the bridge leading west from the first part leading south. The bridge appears to fade out as it goes. There is a strip of land behind the bridge separated by water. The sky has a pinkish color that gives the effects that the sun is first setting because the sun sets in the west. On the back of the photo there appears to be some burn damage done to three of the corners of the post card as well.
