PILOT MOUNTAIN, N. C.
Located between Winston-Salem and Mt. Airy, N. C., just off Hwy. 52, this spectacular peak rises abruptly to a height of 2700 feet above sea level. This old landmark used by Indians and white settlers, was later used by the Confederate Forces as a lookout. A hard surfaced road leads to the parking area near the summit.
