[Canoe Couple]

Dublin Core

Title

[Canoe Couple]

Description

couple rowing a boat in a body of water surrounded by trees. Woman is wearing a red and white dress with red flower pattern on it, she is wearing a pearl necklace and her hair is brown. They are rowing in a yellow canoe. The man is wearing a brown suit with a white shirt and a brown and white tie.
The front of the post card features a color-added photograph of a young heterosexual couple sitting in a yellow canoe. Both the man and the woman have brunette hair and are caucasian. The man is wearing a dark suit with a a bow tie and his hair is neatly combed with a side part. He is looking intently at the woman and smiling. His left arm is around her waist, and his right hand is holding red flowers in front of her. The woman is wearing a red and white dress with a red and green flower design on it. There are actual flowers on her lap that almost blend in with her dress. She is also wearing a white pearl necklace and is holding a wooden ore in her left hand. She is looking straight ahead and smiling. The canoe appears to be in a lake. There are trees in the background, and a green plant in the right foreground.

The edges of the card itself are rather bent and worn. On the back of the card, the user has chosen to write their message in pencil as opposed to ink. The hand writing is in script and is rather difficult to make out, especially since it is in Dutch. There is a considerable amount of discoloration on the back, particularly four brown stains in each of the four corners. The stains look like they might have been caused by tape. In the upper right-hand corner, there is an empty rectangular space where it appears the postage stamp has been removed. This space has also obstructed a portion of the postage stamp, making part of it illegible.
