San Francisco
This conservatory is a replica of the conservatory at Kew Gardens, London. This all glass building is 250 ft. long, 75 ft. wide. It was a gift of James Lick in 1879 and restored after a fire in 1882 through a gift of funds by Charles Crocker. It contains outstanding collections of tropical plants, ferns, orchids and begonias. Open daily from 10 to 5.
