This card features what was, at the time of its production, a new type of airplane that allowed for quicker travel over longer distances.
The card's image does not appear to coincide with the message written by the sender. The divide between the commercialized subject and the personal, written subject creates and interesting tension that questions the use of more commercial cards; are these no different than banner ads found on blogs today? Are these any different than ads that, without the assistance of Google, have little or no relation to the human-added content?
