This card features the Cessna 402, which was a small plane manufactured from 1966-1985. It was intended to be a fairly inexpensive to purchase and operate.
The card appears to have been printed at least in collaboration with "PBA, America's older regional airline." A message on the back of the card explains that this aircraft is one of six operated by PBA in Florida, Massachusetts, and New York. The caption goes on to provide contact information about how to purchase a ticket or obtain more information about PBA. This card, therefore, served as a mobile, ephemeral advertisement.
